Hummingbirds Choir


The Hummingbirds Choir is the second level choir (typically 4th and 5th grades) at the Tucson Girls Chorus.

Rehearsals: Mondays, 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm









Musical concepts include (but are not limited to):
  • Concepts previously learned in the Ladybugs Choir
  • Building confidence singing in two and three part textures
  • Development of appropriate vocal tone, intonation, and focus
  • Memorization of music
  • Identification of pitch names, rhythmic values, and other musical symbols
  • Introduction to sight-singing using step-wise melodies
  • Further development of solfege skills
