Jubilate Choir (Grades 8-12)

• This ensemble is the second most advanced ensemble at the Tucson Girls Chorus (typically 8th-12th grades).

• The Jubilates typically perform in 8-10 concerts per year throughout Tucson, and tour nationally once per year. (subject to change for 2020-21)

Rehearsal Time: Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30 pm

*Rehearsals will begin virtually and we will transition to an outdoor space when weather allows*

Additional music literacy class offered on Monday afternoons (not required)

Musical concepts include (but not limited to):​

• Advanced sight-singing using solfege

• Development of vocal independence through learning multi-part repertoire

• Continued development of vocal technique, breath control, and effective rehearsal techniques

Responsibilties- Members of Jubilate assume more individual responsibilities within the Tucson Girls Chorus including:

• Mentoring younger singers at TGC through a variety of activities, such as regularly attending and participating in the younger choir rehearsals

• Hosting open houses for TGC

• Being Ambassadors of Tucson while on concert tours
