Las Estrellas Engagement Choirs

Engagement Choirs are partnerships with schools throughout Tucson that do not already have a choir program.
Current choirs function as after-school programs at partner schools.
Engagement choir singers participate in:
- weekly rehearsals at their school
- once-per-semester All-Engagement rehearsal at the TGC rehearsal hall
- assemblies/performances at their school in combination with band and orchestra (as applicable)
- performance in the community with sister choirs from TGC's Central & Northwest Choirs
- performance at the annual Sounds of Winter & Sounds of Spring concerts at a popular Tucson venue

Quality choral music instruction at a highly-reduced rate
- Each partner school pays a flat fee for a full year of programming
Highly qualified conductor & accompanist, supervised by TGC's Community Engagement Director
TGC shirt for each singer & formal costume for Winter and Spring concerts
Professional photos of the choir each year
All musical materials
Concert opportunities throughout Tucson

what is needed from partner schools?

Consistent communication from administration or designated liaison
Annual flat fee- we will work with you to determine an amount that is possible for your school
Assistance promoting program and contacting parents
Rehearsal space (ideally with a piano)
1-2 staff volunteers to assist backstage at the Sounds of Winter & Sounds of Spring concerts
