9:30am Dr. M. Nicole Davis - Do-Re-Mi, A-B-C, 1-2-3: Intertwining Improvisation and Literacy in your Rehearsal Space
In this session, we will discuss ways to incorporate music improvisation and literacy in the choral classroom.

11:15am Dr. Elizabeth Schauer - Group Vocal Techniques for K-12 Singers
Dr. Schauer will present fun approaches for engaging singers in the process of developing healthy and flexible vocal technique in a group learning environment. Areas covered include inhalation, relaxation, singing on the breath, register negotiation, consistency of tone production, intonation and balance. Tools for teaching and assessing also will be shared and discussed, and participants will serve as a demonstration choir.
