Mariposa Singers (6-8) | Tucson Girls Chorus

This Mariposa Singers is the first Upper Choir at the Tucson Girls Chorus (typically 6th-8th grades).

The Mariposas typically perform in 6-8 concerts per year throughout Tucson, and travel within the state.

Musical concepts include (but not limited to):

Introduction to identification of intervals and triads
Music reading skills through solfege and rhythmic concepts
Development of vocal independence through learning two, three, and four-part repertoire
Development of physical and mental stamina during rehearsals
Continued development of vocal technique, breath control, and effective rehearsal techniques
