SOLARA (gr. 8–12)

TGC's pop group, featuring a wide range of popular musical styles.

To join Solara, all singers must complete a free placement with the conductor. This placement is intended to be a low-stress, casual way for the singer to get to know the conductor. Please fill out the interest form on this page and we will reach out to schedule the placement.

Solara typically performs in 4-6 concerts per year throughout Tucson.

Musical concepts include (but not limited to):

• Development of sight-singing skills

• Development of vocal independence through learning multi-part repertoire

• Stylistic knowledge of various genres within vocal jazz and a capella

• Continued development of vocal technique, breath control, and effective rehearsal techniques
