BRANDI DIGNUM is the Director of Education for the Tucson Girls Chorus, where she conducts the Ladybugs and Hummingbirds choirs, along with TGC Tunes for Tots early childhood music classes. She is the Artistic Director for the TGC Shine Camp and currently serves on the Teacher Advisory Board for Tucson Girls Chorus. 

Brandi holds a B.M. in Choral Education from the University of Arizona and is certified in Orff-Schulwerk levels I-III. She has experience teaching students in grades pre-K-12 with all abilities and believes that all students deserve an inclusive music experience.

 

Brandi has over 25 years of experience teaching preschool music, elementary general music, middle school choir and musical theater, and most recently was the High School Choir Director at Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, AZ. At CDO High School, Brandi taught a variety of choirs including concert choir, show choir, and created an adaptive choir designed to work with the neurodiverse high school population. Brandi also created a preschool music program designed to instruct high school students on how to teach music to the onsite pre-school children aged 2 – 5 years old.


Brandi was recognized as “Teacher of the Year” for the Flowing Wells School District, and was selected by the Arizona Educational Foundation as a 2011 Arizona Teacher of the Year Ambassador for Excellence; she was selected as one of the top 5 teachers in the state of Arizona.  

 

In addition to her work as a teacher, served on the Teacher Advisory Committee for Tucson Values Teachers, was the Vocal Music Coordinator for both Flowing Wells School District and Amphitheater School District, and served as Assistant Director/ Music Director for Spotlight Youth Productions.
