JESS EDELBROCK directs the Bumblebee and Mariposa Singers, along with TGC's Pop Acapella Groups. She has been with TGC for over 10 years, starting as an accompanist, and now oversees all programming in partnership with Dr. Molina as Director of Operations.Â
Jess earned a B.M. in Choral Education from Northern Arizona University in 2013 and an MM in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University in 2018. She has a wide range of experience teaching students in grades K-12 and believes that all students deserve access to the many benefits of singing together. Her approach to teaching includes pedagogical movement in rehearsal and on stage, creative programming, amplifying student ideas, and facilitating genuine expression.
Jess has found her passions in teaching children and young teens, as well as serving future and current music educators through responsive professional development and program advocacy. In Spring 2023, she was appointed Adjunct Professor of Music Education at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. She serves on the board for the Arizona Choral Directors Association and Arizona Choral Arts Association and is a frequent presenter at state conferences. She has had the honor of serving as guest conductor for several honor choirs, including the upcoming 2026 Alabama All State Middle School Treble Choir. In 2022, the TGC Bumblebees performed at the ACDA National Children's and Community Youth Retreat-- the youngest choir to perform at a national ACDA conference.
