MCKENNA WALTER was born and raised in Tucson, and has been a lifelong musician. Starting in church choir, she has been involved in a wide variety of ensembles, from the TMTA piano ensemble, to Southern Arizona regional choirs, to performing with high school choirs across Tucson in Carnegie Hall. She attended Calvin University, where she earned a BA in Music and minor in Urban studies. Currently, she teaches elementary band and orchestra in 4 local public schools. She loves teaching young musicians to build up their foundation of music reading, understanding, and collaboration, and the most exciting part is seeing the growth in each musician.
